| Govt High School Bassi Khurd in tatters | | |

JAMMU, Apr 24: The road leading towards Government High School at Basi Khurd in Samba district is in shambles as a result of which the students as well as teachers face numerous problems in reaching the school.
The road also leads to the Bassi Khurd village and the villagers are also quite upset over the apathy shown by the people at helm in addressing their issues. The condition of the road is such that even a two wheeler cannot pass through and reach its destination.
The classrooms of the school are in dilapidated condition with switch boards hanging after being damaged.
The paint on the walls has come off and no step whatsoever has been taken to carry out the paint once again. There are no proper windows and doors in the classrooms thus giving an impression that it is not a seat of learning.
It would be in place to mention here that Bassi Khurd is a part of Palli village in Samba where Prime Minister Narinder Modi addressed a rally and dedicated various projects for the development of Jammu & Kashmir. |
