Jammu people face unscheduled power cuts, erratic water supply: Neeraj

JAMMU, Apr 30: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Neeraj Dewan said that administration has totally failed to handle the situation raised due to power and water crisis in Jammu Province. Neeraj Dewan expressed her serious concern over unscheduled power cuts and improper drinking water supply in Jammu.
Jammu people are facing difficult times because of unscheduled power cuts. The electricity supply is not being provided as per the bills being charged from the consumers, alleged Neeraj Dewan. Dewan said that “Many areas in Jammu have been suffering from the shortage of drinking water supply.”
Dewan said that most of the mohallas are facing a severe water crisis in this summer season.
People complained to Dewan that they visited the office of the PHE Department Jammu but neither any action nor any assurance has been given to the people to put an end to their grievances. The old pipes at many places are lying broken and without repair. He demanded immediate replacement of the old PHE pipes to restore regular water supply to the above said areas.
He also demanded the supply of water through water tanks to cover the larger area. He said that the power scenario is the worst.
There are long and unscheduled power cuts, low voltage in the entire areas people are facing hardship in this summer season.
He demanded regular electricity supply in the entire Jammu province.
