JAMMU, June 21: NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated 8th International Yoga Day with enthusiasm on 21st June 2022 at the office premises, Narwal, Jammu. On this occasion, Rajan Kumar, Executive Director told everyone about the importance of yoga and asked them to do yoga regularly. He said that yoga helps in keeping a person healthy and by doing yoga the mind and soul remain balanced. Yoga spread across the world along with Indian philosophy and knowledge centuries ago. People of other countries adopted it and accepted its importance. Yoga has an inseparable place in the Indian tradition. We should do yoga to keep our body and mind healthy.
A yoga session was organized for the employees in the office premises, Narwal from 06:00 am. In this, various Asanas of yoga were taught under the guidance of a trained yoga instructor. After the session everyone spoke in one voice to make yoga an integral part of their life and while telling its importance, appealed to more and more people to join it and adopt it. On this occasion P. Sathyamurthy, GM (HR), S.K. Jena, GM (Finance), R.S. Rathi, CMO, senior officers, employees, security personnel and outsourced employees were also present and performed yoga. |
