JAMMU, June 21: International Yoga Day was celebrated in the College Ground of GDC Rajouri in which Staff and Students of the College in general and NCC Cadets in particular actively participated at 7:00 AM. The Celebration started with major AASAN which include Tadaasan, Vrikshaasan, Padhastaa-san, Katichakaraasan, Pr-anayayama, etc. The Program was coordinated by Captain Tanwir Ahmed, Asstt. Physical Director and NIS Yoga Expert of the College. He guided the participants in performing the Yoga Aasans. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the College, Dr. Javaid Ahmed Qazi highlighted the importance of Yoga for improving physical and mental health of the individuals by adopting the habit of Yoga in their daily lives. The participants also took the pledge to promote the Yoga at Local, National and International level.
