Dy mayor kick starts development works in Ward No 56

JAMMU, Mar 9: With pix baldev Continuing the campaign to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of the area of RS Pura-Jammu South constituency, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, started the work of lane & drain at sector-2 adjoining Nag Mandir, Ward 56 Gangyal.
This development work will be done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that this was a long pending demand of the local people and now the demand has been fulfilled. He said that this lane adjoins the place of Nag Devta Mandir, now with the construction of this lane, devotees (Sangat) visiting the Nag Devta Mandir will also get relief. Deputy Mayor Jammu said, "We are committed to the development of Ward No 56 and ensuring that it remains a model ward. The construction of new lanes and drains is just the first step in our efforts to improve the infrastructure of the area. We will continue to work towards the betterment of the Ward and its residents." The Deputy Mayor also added that the project will be completed in a time-bound manner and strict quality control measures will be implemented to ensure that the construction meets the required standards.
Deputy Mayor Jammu said that the last four years, we have expended crores of rupees for the development process of Ward No 56 Gangyal. This significant investment has enabled us to undertake a range of crucial development initiatives that have transformed the ward into a more liveable and vibrant community.
Some of the key projects that have been completed in Ward No 56 over the last four years include the construction of new roads, installation of street lights, the provision of improved waste management services, and the establishment of community facilities, such as parks and playgrounds.
We are delighted to see the positive impact that these projects have had on the quality of life of the residents of Ward No 56.
