T S Wazir murder case: After high-profile arrests allegations, counter-accusations intensify
3/9/2023 10:59:18 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 9: After the arrest of Jammu's prominent businessman-cum-politician Sudarshan Singh Wazir in the high-profile murder case of the former legislator of National Conference (NC) Trilochan Singh Wazir allegations and counter-allegations have been intensified.
While some Sikh organizations condemned the arrest of Sudershan Singh Wazir and two others, family members of the victim Trilochan Singh Wazir have appreciated the Crime Branch of Delhi Police to arrest some influential persons.
“The Crime Branch of Delhi Police is professionally investigating the case but some forces are trying to influence the investigating agencies but mounting pressure”, Karan Wazir, son of Trilochan Singh Wazir told media persons.
He said that high-profile arrests were made only after the arrest of the main accused Harpreet Singh, who was evading arrest after the murder.
Harpreet was reported to have disclosed the involvement of Sudershan Singh Wazir, Harjinder Singh Raina, and Jagpal Singh for conspiring in the murder case.
The Crime Branch Cell of Delhi Police has arrested Sudarshan Singh Wazir, 67, who is also chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front, and his two associates Harjinder Singh Raina, 71, and Jagpal Singh, 51, for their involvement in high-profile Trilochan Singh Wazir murder case on February 2 this year.
According to reports, all three were summoned by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police at Delhi for questioning. After questioning, all three were arrested.
Important to mention here that on March 5, Darbinder Singh, president, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed concern over the “wrongful arrests” of prominent Sikh leaders and social activists.
Singh said that Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman of Sikh United Front J&K, Harjinder Singh Raina, former Secretary of DGPC Jammu, and Jagpal Singh, Member of DGPC Jammu, are respected members of the society and charges against them are fabricated to malign their image.
“The three individuals were implicated in the murder of Trilochan Singh Wazir,” said S Darbinder Singh, while requesting the investigating agencies to conduct narco tests and brain mapping of the trio to identify the real culprits.
He claimed that third parties have misled the investigating agencies for their own vested interests, which may include money, business, or political gains.
