DPS Jammu students qualifies spot examination

JAMMU, Mar 9: Students of Delhi Public School Jammu participated in prestigious Science Promotion Orient Test (SPOT)-2023 conducted by Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation (VSSF) Kochi, on 28 & 29 Jan. 2023. Total 67 students from classes VI to XI from DPS Jammu appeared for the first phase exam, "SPOT Prelims", out of which 43 qualified for the second phase exam "SPOT 100". Around 65% students of DPS Jammu have qualified for this prestigious exam.
VSSF Kochi is a science initiative primarily focused on Science Identify Creation & Simplifying Science with an aim to inspire the youth and the next generation of innovators as well as to create a dynamic, integrated research community. The SPOT-advantage develops student's ability to ask questions, collect information, organize & test ideas, problem solve & apply what one learn.

(VIII), Tarini Gupta (VIII), Reyansh Gupta (IX), Iqra Javed (IX), Ishvita Luthra (IX), Manya Targotra (IX), Rishita Mahajan (IX), Jagrit Rajpal (IX), Akshara Kakkar (IX), Aabhav Wazir (IX), Aayat Fatima (IX), Rehan Abbas Ali (IX), Gurbani Kaur (IX), Suhani Gupta (IX), Harihar Sharma (XI), Gursneh Kour (XI), Shalin Sawhney (XI), Aakash Sharma (XI). All these SPOT Prelims qualifiers will get a privilege to attend a 5 days virtual session on relevant & futuristic science topics conducted by the leading Scientists, Doctors and Researchers in the science field.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra applauded all the qualifiers and their parents for the brilliant achievements. She also congratulated Ms. Navneet Kaur, Coordinator-SPOT.
President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi extended their best wishes to the qualifiers and their parents for their future endeavours.
