JAMMU, May 22: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister, highlighted the government's commitment to women empowerment and women-led development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He chaired a meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha at the party headquarters, where he praised the government's focus on women-centric policies and increased representation of women in positions of power.
Gupta announced the upcoming visit of a Mahila Morcha team from the center to Jammu on May 25. In collaboration with the Jammu Chapter of Mahila Morcha, the team will organize a district-level program to showcase the initiatives taken by the Modi government for women empowerment and women-led development. Gupta commended the exceptional efforts of the Jammu Chapter during the national-level 'One Crore Selfie' campaign, where they achieved the top rank. He acknowledged the Mahila Morcha's remarkable contributions in implementing welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
