CIIIT Jammu hosts two-day webinar on "Electric Vehicle & Repair"

JAMMU, Oct 19: The Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation & Training (CIIIT) at Government Polytechnic Jammu organized a two-day webinar titled "Electric Vehicle & Repair." This informative event was conducted under the guidance of the Directorate of Skill Development Training & Placement (DLTP) Cell, catering to ITIs and Polytechnics students and staff from the Jammu Division.
Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of Government Polytechnic Jammu, supervised the program, which drew the participation of over 320 students from various Government ITIs and Polytechnics in the region.
The webinar began with Er. Arun Bangotra providing an overview of the various competency centers at CIIIT Jammu and the latest technologies integrated into the center. The primary goal is to equip engineering students with the necessary skills to adapt to the latest industry trends, focusing on industry 4.0, including electric vehicles, mechatronics, Internet of Things (IOT), and automotive air-conditioning.
Sandeep Nimbalkar, Programme Director of CIIIT Jammu (Tata Technologies), delved into the intricate components of electric vehicles (EVs), offering comprehensive insights. Further insights into electric vehicles and CIIIT Jammu were shared by Dhiraj Nanda and Jagjit Singh, subject matter experts (SMEs) from Tata Technologies.
The students received valuable information about sensors and troubleshooting used in electric vehicles from Tushar Mule and Pranav Aggarwal, both SMEs of Tata Technologies. Motors and drives technology were discussed in detail by Ravi V, Rohit Bhanushali, and Anand Rathore, SMEs from Tata Technologies. Ankush and Anubhav, SMEs of Tata Technologies, provided a comprehensive demonstration of troubleshooting methods and OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) scanner used in electric vehicle repair.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Neena Dullo, Incharge of DLTP Cell of the Directorate of Skill Development. The webinar served as a valuable platform for students and staff to gain knowledge and insights into the dynamic world of electric vehicles, promoting skill development and enhancing employability in alignment with the latest industry trends.
