Jodhamal teams shine at F1 meet

JAMMU, Oct 19: Jodhamal Public School, known for fostering excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities, is celebrating the remarkable success of its Formula One In Schools teams, Apex Racing and Spartan Racing. The talented teams from this institution participated in the recently held Formula One In Schools Regionals, leaving an indelible mark on the competition.
The Formula One In Schools competition is a prestigious international STEM challenge, where teams of 3-6 students design and manufacture miniature cars using the official F1 Model Block. Apex Racing and Spartan Racing, representing Jodhamal Public School, not only showcased their exceptional talent and skills but also secured their spots in the National F1 Championship scheduled for December 2023.
The Regional Qualifiers took place at Sun City, Gurugram, where both teams demonstrated their engineering prowess, teamwork, and competitive spirit, earning accolades for their school.
Apex Racing, consisting of Daanial Butt, Arit Malhotra, Kunwar Ranvir Sharma, Ekaj Nargotra, and Varchasav, along with Team Spartan Racing, including Abhiraj Suryavanshi, Madhvendra Naad, Simarpal Singh, Vanshaj Sharma, Avyukt Mahajan, and Mehraab Singh, put on an outstanding performance. Their exceptional skills earned them recognition in various categories, and their efforts were highly appreciated by F1 officials and judges.
At the award ceremony, Team Spartan Racing was celebrated for having the fastest car in the competition, being declared as the Knockout and First Runner-up, and receiving the Best Team award. Additionally, Team Apex Racing received the accolade for the Best Engineered Car.
Both teams were guided and mentored by Mrs. Neetu Johri, whose expertise and support played a pivotal role in their success.
Jodhamal Public School has been at the forefront of STEM education and learning, having been recognized as a 'STEM-approved' school in Jammu and Kashmir for the last eight years. Through its collaboration with Time of Sports, the school aims to foster the growth of STEM education in the region, enabling students to explore science and technology in innovative ways.
Notably, in 2022, Jodhamal School's team, Helios, achieved global acclaim by winning the F1 in Schools World Finals held at Silverstone, United Kingdom, and was declared the World Knockout Racing Champion of 2022.
Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee of the school, and Girish Kumar, Principal of Jodhamal Public School, extended their warmest congratulations to the victorious teams. They highlighted that these competitions provide students with life skills that extend beyond traditional classroom learning, offering hands-on, advanced, and scientific experiences that are invaluable for their future development and success. Jodhamal continues to be a beacon of excellence, nurturing young talents in diverse fields.
