DPS Jammu Students clinch gold medals in UT level Pencak Silat Championship

JAMMU, Oct 19: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu is rejoicing as its students made an impressive mark at the 8th U.T Pencak Silat Championship, organized by the Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir from September 23 to 25, 2023, at Sher-i-Kashmir hall. The young talents demonstrated their prowess in this ancient martial art, earning several gold and bronze medals.
The following students emerged as gold medalists:
Rigved (IX-G) - Bagging the gold medal in an outstanding display of skill and determination.
Mahika Sharma (IX-G) - A brilliant performance securing another gold medal for DPS Jammu.
Kriti Badyal (VII-F) - Impressing everyone with her skills, Kriti added another gold medal to the school's tally.
Yatharth (IV-C) - In a remarkable feat, Yatharth clinched a gold medal, displaying remarkable talent at a young age.
In addition to the gold medals, two more students showcased their abilities by securing bronze medals:
Chirayu Kharyal (V-K) - Demonstrating skill and determination that earned him a well-deserved bronze medal.
Shashwat Badyal (II-C) - The youngest participant to win a bronze medal, showcasing exceptional potential.
The remarkable achievement does not stop here; all the gold medal winners have earned the privilege of representing their school and region at the national level Pencak Silat Championship scheduled for November 2023.
The management of DPS Jammu, including the President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Director S.S Sodhi and Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra, collectively congratulated the winners for their outstanding performance. They extended their warm wishes to the young talents, their parents, and their coach, Suresh Kumar, for their incredible achievements and encouraged them for all their future endeavors.
The success of these students not only brings honor to DPS Jammu but also serves as an inspiration for young talents in the region, showcasing the potential and excellence within the school's community.
