National group song competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua

Kathua, Oct 19: In an effort to promote cultural engagement and patriotism among students, Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua Branch organized an Interschool National Group Song Competition. The competition took place in the premises of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Shiva Nagar, and received support from esteemed dignitaries.
Chief Guest: Colonel Mahan Singh, Chairman District Development Council, Kathua
Guest of Honour: Sh. Raghunandan Singh Bablu, Vice Chairman District Development Council, Kathua
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of a candle by the chief guest, guest of honour, and other dignitaries, followed by the rendition of the national song, Vande Matram.
Nine teams from various schools in Kathua showcased their talents during the competition.
The songs, sung in Hindi and Sanskrit, were carefully selected from the book “Chetna Ke Svar” published by Bharat Vikas Parishad, New Delhi.
Participants captivated the audience with their renditions, creating a harmonious atmosphere filled with melodious music and patriotic emotions.
The Chief Guest commended Bharat Vikas Parishad for providing a platform where students could display their talents and contribute to society’s moral and ethical values.
Prof. Dr. Ram Murti Sharma, Chief Patron of BVP, outlined the organization’s motto and informed the audience about various social activities conducted by the branch in his welcome address.
G.S Katal, Ex-President of Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua and Director of Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School Shiva Nagar Kathua, extended his gratitude to the dignitaries and school children for making the event a success.
