11/13/2023 10:35:51 PM
Early Times Report
REASI, Nov 13: To review the progress and implementation of Labour Department schemes, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan today chaired a meeting of stakeholder departments here in the video conference hall of the DC office complex Reasi.
The Deputy Commissioner held a threadbare deliberation on implementation of eighteen online services and took a comprehensive review of the schemes.
Marking a significant achievement, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that the registration of workers on the E-SHRAM Portal in the district has reached over 100%. The DC, while expressing optimism over the enthusiastic participation of the workforce, called upon the Officers of the concerned Departments to organize special awareness camps in the district, especially in Mahore sub division.
The purpose of these camps is to extend the registration drive, ensuring that more beneficiaries avail the benefits offered by central and union territory sponsored schemes.
The administration believes that increasing awareness and registration will empower workers and enable them to access various welfare measures and opportunities.
To streamline and formalize the engagement of contractors within the district, the DC issued directions to the Assistant Labour Commissioner to register the labour with all the contractors within one month. This move is aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and compliance with labor regulations.
In a concerted effort to ensure that the benefits of government-sponsored schemes reach every corner of the district, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi has directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner to distribute informative pamphlets among the public, enlightening them about various welfare schemes.
DC issued directions to the concerned department to undertake the registration of all shops within the district. Special attention will be given to those shops operating in far-flung areas, ensuring that every business is accounted for within the regulatory framework.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Sunita Kanchan, Assistant Labour Commissioner Renu Bala and other concerned officers.
