Jammu, Dec 13: In a significant initiative towards promoting oral health and community well-being, the Post-Graduate Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the Institute of Government GDC Jammu organized a Mega Mobile Restorative Dental Camp at Cooperative Public School, Deelli, Jammu. Headed by Dr. Azhar Malik, the event aimed to provide essential dental care to the students and staff, emphasizing the importance of oral health in maintaining overall well-being.
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Azhar Malik, HOD of the PG Dept. of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, the dental camp witnessed a robust turnout of participants. The team, comprised of specialist faculty members, conducted thorough oral screenings for conditions such as caries, providing restorative treatments as needed. In addition, medications were distributed to those in need.
The meticulously planned event was orchestrated by Dr. Azhar Malik, Dr. Shamim Anjum (Asst. Prof. in charge of Dental Specialty Camp), Dr. Rachna Dhani (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Ravinder Bhagat (Lecturer), Dr. Tania Jandial (Registrar), and PG students Dr. Rakhi and Dr. Ankit. The comprehensive team ensured that the dental camp ran smoothly, offering valuable services to the attendees.
The day was not just about providing dental care; it also featured a series of activities and events focusing on the significance of oral health. Expert staff members delivered dental awareness lectures to educate participants about preventive measures and maintaining good oral hygiene.
The off-campus activities were carried out under the overall guidance and direction of Dr. Rakesh Krishan Gupta, the Principal and Dean of IGGDC Jammu.
