VIJAYPUR, Feb 16: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and the Department of English, conducted a highly successful workshop on "Communication Skills." The workshop aimed to guide students towards their career ambitions and facilitate personality development.
Students of the college enthusiastically attended the lecture with great fervor and zeal, reflecting their eagerness to enhance their communication abilities and shape their future prospects.
The event commenced with a formal welcome of the esteemed guests by Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Convenor of IQAC. The workshop featured Kiran Kurwade, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Chitkara University, Chandigarh, as the keynote speaker. Kurwade emphasized the importance of holistic development in improving students' Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and highlighted the significant role of Emotional Quotient (EQ) in achieving higher intelligence levels. Over 100 students and all faculty members actively participated in the workshop, engaging in insightful discussions and learning experiences.
Prof. Mamta Gupta, Head of the Department of Commerce, concluded the session by motivating students to focus on enhancing their communication skills for brighter future prospects. The entire event was conducted under the able guidance of the college Principal, Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta, who provided invaluable support and encouragement.
The proceedings of the program were facilitated by Dr. Tisha Singh, Lecturer in the Department of Commerce, while Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Lecturer in the Department of Education, delivered the formal vote of thanks. As a gesture of appreciation, pens were distributed to all students who attended the workshop.
