GGM SC College Jammu host voter awareness seminar cum rally

JAMMU, Mar 14: GGM SC College in Jammu organized a voter awareness rally on March 14, 2024, spearheaded by its National Service Scheme (NSS) units. The event aimed to emphasize the significance of youth engagement in societal development through active participation in the electoral process.
The rally was followed by a voter awareness seminar, highlighting the crucial role of casting votes in shaping the future of the nation. Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, along with Dr. Narinder Kumar, Associate Professor in Zoology, and Prof. Brinder Kumar, graced the occasion, underscoring the importance of informed and responsible voting.
NSS Programme Officers Dr. Rahul Kait and Dr. Neha Sharma played pivotal roles in organizing and executing the event, ensuring maximum outreach and participation among students.
Speaking about the initiative, Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta stated, "Empowering the youth with the knowledge of their voting rights is essential for the progress and prosperity of our society. Through such initiatives, we aim to instill a sense of civic duty and responsibility among our students."
Dr Narinder Kumar EX-NSS PO highlighted the importance of Such activities and need to get involved in such activities that will help us achieve the viksit Bharat, a dream of our Hon'ble PM Modi .
The event received overwhelming participation from students, faculty, and staff, reaffirming the college's commitment to nurturing socially responsible citizens.
