Jammu, Feb 8: A criminal was injured in a retaliatory fire and another was arrested at Miran Sahib here on Saturday, Police said.
An official told Early Times that police had received a tip that notorious criminals Daljot Singh @Daljot Punjabi R/o Dashmesh Nagar Satwari Jammu and Aman Singh alias Anu R/o Kathua were travelling from Samba to Jammu. “Police had information that they were carrying arms with an intention to commit some heinous crime,” the official added.

Daljot Punjabi got injured, moreover the second accused Aman Singh was apprehended.

“Arms and ammunition were recovered from the scene of crime, further leads are on to track down other members of this group.
FIR has been registered under relevant sections registered at PS Miran Sahib and investigations taken up,” the official said.
It is in place to mention here that recently there was incident in Phallain Mandal area where some miscreants had fired upon the vehicle of Arun Chaudhary and then fled from the scene of crime, and later on claimed to have fired, later on upon verification it came to be known that they are a part of organised crime syndicate.
