Early Times Report

New Delhi, June 15: A high-level delegation of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation (BRHF) met Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya, Member of the Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Union Minister, in New Delhi. The meeting was organized to apprise him of the Foundation’s social and spiritual activities and seek support.
The delegation was led by Om Prakash Bagga, International President of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation. He was accompanied by Rajesh Bagga, President of the India Chapter; Balbir Ram Rattan, General Secretary and Advocate Deepika Chawda, Founder Member and Secretary, along with other office bearers.
Om Prakash Bagga informed Dr. Jatiya that the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation is a social and non-political organization committed to spreading Guru Ravidass Ji’s message of social equality, interfaith harmony, and a caste-free society on a global scale. The organization is headquartered in London (UK), with active branches in India and several other countries.
Bagga also informed that the Foundation has requested the Government of India to officially commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidass Ji in 2027 with year-long programmes both in India and abroad. He urged the BJP Parliamentary Board member to convey this request to the party leadership and support the cause.
Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya, a seven-time Member of Parliament from Ujjain and former Minister of Labour and Social Justice and Empowerment in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government (1999–2004), appreciated the efforts of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation. He stated that the life and teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji are even more relevant today and that the work being done by the Foundation to unite society is truly inspirational. Dr. Jatiya assured the delegation that he would raise this issue at the appropriate forum within the party.
