| GST-linked bank account mandatory for e-tendering | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 11: In a move to enhance transparency and ensure better tracking of financial transactions, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has made it mandatory for all suppliers and contractors participating in the e-tendering process to disclose their GST-linked bank account details at the time of bid submission.
As per a circular, departments must ensure that payments are made only to the bank account linked with the GST number of the successful bidder.
This step aims to prevent revenue loss and ensure compliance with GST rules. All departments and agencies have been instructed to immediately update their tender documents accordingly. |
