Jammu, July 12: Prime Minister Employment Fair was organized by Northern Railway, Jammu Division to provide appointment letters to newly appointed employees in various ministries and departments of the Central Government. This program was organized at the Convention Center, Jammu. During this program, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi provided appointment letters to 51000 youth across the country through video conferencing under the 16th Employment Fair. During this, appointment letters were given to 237 young men and women in Jammu. These appointment letters were given to the newly appointed young men and women by the Honorable Union Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasad, Lok Sabha MP Honorable Shri Jugal Kishore ji present in the program. It included newly appointed young men and women of Railway Department, Postal Department, BSF, Health Department.
This is the first job fair of Jammu Division under the leadership of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Vivek Kumar after the formation of Jammu Division. This job fair was launched by the Prime Minister on 22 October 2022 under Mission Mode.
Under this program, Divisional Railway Manager Shri Vivek Kumar said that this job fair is an important initiative towards the Prime Minister's commitment of 'employment for all'. It aims to empower the youth and motivate them to play an active role in nation building. The newly appointed personnel will also be given online orientation training through "Karmayogi Prarambh", so that they can gain efficiency in government service.
