Patiala, Sept 1: Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), Patiala is actively celebrating Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 and Special Campaign 5.0 (Implementation Phase) as per the directives of Railway Board. The campaign, which began on 1st August 2025, is being observed in all shops, offices, and colonies of PLW with full zeal and participation of officers, staff, and their families under the leadership of Shri Rajesh Mohan, Principal Chief Administrative Officer (PCAO), PLW.
During the campaign period up to 31st August 2025 extensive cleanliness drives, awareness activities, and plantation drives were organized across PLW. All workshops and office areas were thoroughly cleaned, and employees actively participated in Shramdaan towards maintaining a clean and hygienic workplace.
As part of the awareness initiatives, a Nukkad Natak on the theme of Swachhata was played by PLW employees at the shop premises, spreading the message of cleanliness and motivating staff to adopt sustainable habits in daily work and life.
Shri Rajesh Mohan PCAO appreciated the active involvement of the staff and emphasized that such initiatives not only ensure a clean workplace but also contribute towards building a healthy society. The campaign will continue till 31st October 2025 with various activities including Swachhata pledge, workshops, seminars, cycle rally, cleaning drives, and competitions, as scheduled.
