Jammu, Sept 1: Continuing its drive against absconders, Jammu Police, South Zone today apprehended one absconder who had been evading arrest for years.
Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu apprehended Gul Mohd. @ Gulla S/o Nizamdin R/o Rangoora, who was wanted in Case FIR No. 68/2011 U/S 382/201/34 RPC of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu. The accused had been absconding since long and was not appearing before the Hon’ble Court.
The Hon’ble Special Forest Court, Jammu had issued a warrant U/S 512 CrPC against the accused in the year 2019. Despite repeated efforts, he had continuously been evading arrest.
Acting on specific information, a team of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by the SHO Bagh-e-Bahu, under the supervision of SDPO East & SP South and the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, successfully apprehended the accused yesterday near Rangoora area. The accused was later produced before the Hon’ble Special Forest Court, Jammu.
