| Jammu police arrested drug peddler heroin (Chita) seized | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 1: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb the drug menace, Jammu Police, South Zone, achieved a breakthrough with the arrest of one drug peddler and recovery of a heroin-like substance.
The operation was carried out by Police party of Police Station Gandhinagar headed by Incharge Police Post Digiana PSI Sanjeev Sharma under the supervision of SHO Gandhinagar,Inspector Jai Paul Sharma ,SDPO South & SP city south.
During routine patrolling duties, a police team from Police Post Digiana led by its Incharge and assisted by other officials, intercepted one suspicious individual at Rani talab near peer baba digiana Jammu. On being stopped and questioned, he disclosed his identity as Mohd zakif S/O Mohd. Aslam R/O madhwal near allah ditta school, rakh Badali udhampur.
On his personal search, 15 grams heroin-like substance is recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 192/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhi nagar and Said accused person was taken into custody on the spot for further investigation. The recovered contraband has been seized as per legal procedures and further investigation is in progress to trace the source and linkages of the Narcotics supply.
