Jammu, Sept 10: The Literary Club of GGM Science College, in collaboration with Aatam Nirbhar Bharat, celebrated World Literacy Day with a dynamic panel discussion on the thought-provoking theme Technology Replacing Human Creativity. The event took place in the college Conference Hall, drawing enthusiastic participation from faculty and students alike. The program was held under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, who, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the value of intellectual dialogues in an academic environment. Events like these not only stimulate critical thinking but also inspire our students to look beyond the ordinary. In today’s fast-changing technological world, it is essential to create a balance where innovation complements human creativity rather than replacing it, Dr. Gupta remarked. He further highlighted that literacy in the 21st century extends beyond reading and writingit involves nurturing the ability to think, question, and innovate responsibly. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Jatinder Kour (Convener), Dr. Yasmeen Mughal (Co-Convener), and Dr. Shalini Sharma (Convener, Aatam Nirbhar Bharat). Members of the Literary Club and Aatam Nirbhar Bharat committee, along with student volunteers Rahul Kumar, Ujjwal Thakur, Neha, Sumit, Ashish, Vushesh, and Bhumika, coordinated the program efficiently.The session, anchored by Ms. Hanshika Sharma, concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Ms. Manmeet Kour, urging students to embrace technology as an enabler while safeguarding the irreplaceable spark of human imagination. |
