| SMVDU faculty delivered lecture at DAAM | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: Ar. Aditya Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, in School of Architecture & Landscape Design, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University delivered keynote address to the Govt. officers of Directorate of Archives, Archaeology & Museums (DAAM), Jammu & Srinagar on the occasion of World Heritage Week 2025 during Workshop & Training program on Conservation and Preservation of Heritage Sites and Monuments organised by DAAM held at IIIM, Jammu.An alumnus of MNIT Bhopal & SPA New Delhi, with his over 25 years of experience as Professional Architect & Academician, he has sensitised the audience on the significance of conservation of our Built Heritage Values in relation to the Jammu & Kashmir region. He emphasized specifically on architectural approaches for conservation, preservation & restoration of the Heritage sites of Jammu & Kashmir. The "VIRASAT" of this region is privileged with the Traditional embellishments that speaks of the rich architectural expression. Further, he has awarensitized the participants towards the collaborative efforts in the field of conservation architecture through interdisciplinary research & innovative professional praxis. Prof. PRAGATI KUMAR, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SMVD University has congratulated the faculty member for such outreach feat. He always encourages the faculty members to disseminate the knowledge not only to the upcoming generation but also to the associated institutions. It is pertinent to mention that SMVD University has been constantly imparting the quality higher technical education since 2004 and has achieved 23rd NIRF 2024 rank in Architecture among the approximately 400 schools of architecture across the country. |
