1/15/2015 11:35:30 PM
Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 15: The upcoming elections for the Delhi assembly have impacted the formation of the next government in Jammu & Kashmir since the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) does not want to lose out some of the seats in the union capital if it goes ahead with formation of government as on date. Sources told Early Times that top leadership of BJP has decided not to go ahead with the dialogue process with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the time being for forming the next government in the state. The decision has been taken in order to avoid controversy that may arise if BJP and PDP form an alliance with respect to the formation of next government in the state. "It is quite natural that BJP would have to give in on some of the issues that they have been raising with respect to the position of Jammu & Kashmir. BJP has been maintaining that it would like to get the Article 370 abrogated from the state, but the same has been opposed by the leading mainstream parties of the state including PDP," said sources. Sources said that if BJP forms a gover...
