20 posts for Jammu, 136 for Valley: BJP's new-year gift for Jammu
1/1/2021 11:34:23 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Jan 1: On the first day of 2021, large numbers of agriculture graduates from Jammu were protesting on the streets as the ruling BJP has given them a 'new year gift'. These agriculture graduates were shocked over a recruitment notification issued by the J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) in which only 20 posts were advertised for Jammu province while 136 posts for Kashmir Valley. Although BJP is not ruling the UT of J&K, people are of the view that BJP leaders have total control in the administration so people feel betrayed by the Saffron Brigade. On Thursday evening JKSSB issued a notification for recruitment in the Agriculture Production and Farmer's Welfare Department. In the notice posts of Agriculture Extension Assistant were also advertised. Shockingly, a total 20 posts of Agriculture Extension Assistant were advertised in Jammu region out of which 11 were reserved for different categories. For Kashmir Valley, 136 posts of Agriculture Extension Assistant were advertised for Kashmir Valley out of which 68 posts are for general category. For thes...

1/1/2021 11:34:17 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Jan 1: Even as the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded District Development Council elections by winning 74 out of a total of 280 seats, the BJP top brass is seemingly not convinced with the performance of its leaders especially in Jammu province. Sources said the BJP top leadership in New Delhi is "not at all" happy with the "two digit" performance of its leaders in the winter capital region and that the party looks ahead to summon a few of them to the national capital for a "brainstorming on reasons that may have led to fall in vote share." Sources said the BJP is likely to summon three-four of its le...

Terrorists kill jeweller for getting domicile?
1/1/2021 11:34:11 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Jan 1: Selective killing of a Punjab based jeweller, settled in Srinagar for four decades, by the terrorists is a very serious development as the deceased has purchased a shop after getting a domicile certificate some months back. Although higher-ups in the police have taken the incident as routine killing, targeting the jeweler who got domicile is an eye-opener for those who have launched a campaign against the new domicile policy implemented in UT of J&K. After selectively targeting non-local truck drivers and labourers working in the Valley, terrorists have not started attacking those who have received domicile certificates after fulfilling all requirements. ...

1/1/2021 11:34:04 PM

"Condemn the gruesome killing of an innocent man in Srinagar yesterday. Violence has no place in a civilised society. Deepest condolences to the bereaved family", Mehbooba tweeted. "Very unfortunate.
