Tabs purchased by libraries under e-coaching, e-learning initiative gather dust Negligible aspirants opt for free coaching for NEET, JET and CET exams 1/6/2020 11:46:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 6: The e-coaching and e-learning initiative taken by JK Libraries in the year 2016-17 is almost closed as a very small number of aspirants have been taking benefit of the scheme. Moreover the electronic tabs purchased by the department to the tune of several Lakhs, have been gathering dust in various libraries. Sources in the department informed Early Times that the state government in the year 2016-17 had unveiled, what they claimed as one of the biggest e-coaching and e-learning initiatives. “It was taken with an aim to provide quality coaching and comprehensive solutions to students aspiring to appear in NEET, JEE and CET”, sources said, adding that under the scheme, video lectures, e-books, written notes were available to the students of state, free of cost. Sources further said that the government had purchased several Computer-tabs of Samsung-company and same were distributed among the Tehsil and District Libraries, which have been gathering dust for the last two years.
