R&B’s Erroneous Service Rules
11/20/2020 12:17:51 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: Those at the helm in R&B are maintaining a stoic silence over making requisite and much needed corrections in service rules including the infamous SRO 297, leaving the deserving and meritorious engineers in lurch. Even when at present the department is readying itself to create a digital database of its employees across the Union Territory, the authorities there aren’t even giving a damn to spare time and ensure that the error infested rules are corrected. Sources informed that contrary to the tall claims of rectifying the wrongs of the past regimes in Jammu and Kashmir, R&B seems to have been concretising the blunders that the past governments committed in engineering service rules of Jammu and Kashmir. “The fact is that the rules have gone for a toss within the R&B. Even when the present dispensation is presenting itself as saviour of sorts, the correction in the service rules of engineering cadre have been kept in limbo. There is a least attention being given to it. For the past 14 years, the government has shamelessly failed to rectify th...

11/20/2020 12:17:40 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: After the abolition of Lakhanpur toll plaza Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders had claimed that decades old “Jazia” imposed by Kashmir centric governments has been abolished but now the Municipal Committee Lakhanpur has started a new tax regime, with imposition of tax on vehicles passing through a link road. Spike in Covid cases: Authorities in J&K are not prepared to check Delhi’s impact
11/20/2020 12:17:29 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: While as the Centre has rushed high-level teams to Haryana and Rajasthan to minimize impact of Delhi’s Covid situation, authorities in J&K appear to be non-serious in dealing with those who are coming from the Union capital. Authorities have not deployed special to teams to check those who are coming from Delhi where Coronavirus cases are increasing with every passing day. Highly placed sources during the last one week, Union Capital is witnessing a spike in Covid cases but authorities in J&K have yet to take some steps to keep a watch on those who are entering the UT from Delhi. There is fear among residents of J&K authorities that a casual approac...

Ban Toll Plaza encounter: Big question mark over check infiltration on IB
11/20/2020 12:15:00 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: Although security forces have achieved a big success by eliminating four terrorists at Ban Toll Plaza early Thursday morning, this incident has once again put question mark over steps taken to check infiltration from the International Border (IB). Terrorists managed to enter into J&K through the national highway and the biggest question from where these Pakistani terrorists have managed to sneak into Indian side. On January 31 this year, three truck-borne Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants were killed at similar place. During that incident one person was arrested by the police and he was cousin of suicide bomber Adil Dar, who carried out a deadly attac...
