Jammu, Dec 20: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the President of the Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti has once again reiterated that Hizbul militant commander Burhan Wani should have been caught alive.
"Burhan picked up the gun only after his elder brother was beaten up by the security forces. Killing militants is not helping and it is not a solution. Those who pick up gun, you kill them. But not their idea. You have to address the idea," Mehbooba recently told India Today.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "After losing power Mehbooba is accusing the police and security forces of committing atrocities on people but when she was the Chief Minister she used to praise the police and the security forces for handling the situation in a professional manner. After losing power she has taken a u-turn."

srinagar, Dec 20: In brazen violation of the norms, a bridge is being "illegally" constructed on flood channel in Rawalpora area of Srinagar thereby making the area more vulnerable to floods.
Officials sources said the office Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Department has been maintaining a "criminal silence" over the "illegal" construction of the bridge on which crores of rupees have already been spent.

Srinagar, Dec 20: The Governor's Grievance Cell (GGC) might have received over 35,000 complaints but there are hardly any takers in Government departments for their redressal.
As per the official figures, the Governor's grievance cell has received 35,322 grievances of which 34,313 have been forwarded to concerned authorities for redress.
