Skeletons likely to tumble as Govt mulls probe in regularization of daily wagers
12/27/2018 11:10:29 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 27: Many skeletons are likely to tumble in state's administrative machinery as the government is all set to initiate a high level inquiry into alleged bungling in the regularization of daily wagers in the state. There are reports that several departments in Jammu and Kashmir have wrongly inducted names of people into the list of the adhoc employees. Such an action has led to the chaos on ground with finance department busy fixing errors ahead of formulating roadmap to regularize the daily wagers. On December 26, this year, the government ordered an inquiry into the regularisation process of the daily wagers in the department of PDD. As per the sources, similar inquiries will be initiated in other departments as well. Reports inform that in August last year, the then finance minister Haseeb Drabu had taken a serious note of the misuse of the official position by some senior officials and had asked for a high level inquiry into the matter. Reports inform that as this year the government announced the Adhaar based attendance of the daily rated emp...

Keeping Kashmir pot boiling
12/27/2018 11:09:38 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 27: Will the political parties contest the coming elections in J&K on democratic and economic planks or on separatist planks? Reports in this regard are frightening. It appears that the parties like the NC, the PDP and the Congress will contest the next elections in J&K on divisive planks and will take recourse to the politics of competitive secessionism and communalism. The NC has already made it clear that its election planks would be state autonomy (semi-independence for J&K) and regional autonomy (division of Jammu and Ladakh into five zones on religious and ethnic lines). The PDP has said that its fundamental plank will be self-rule: Pakistan, demilit...
