Professors `ready to pay' hefty amount for enhancing retirement age

Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 21: At least 61 professors and associate professors working in Higher Education department have reportedly been burning midnight oil to fix a deal with the administration for enhancement of their retirement age, keeping aside the concerns of thousands of highly qualified unemployed youth. Sources informed Early Times that these 61 professors and associate professors were scheduled to retire in 2019. However, it has come to fore that they are ready to pay hefty sum for getting retirement age enhanced. Pertinent to mention these professors get around Rs 2 lakhs per month. A total of 16 College Professors, who are confirmed Principals are going to retire in year 2019.
