Peerzada Ummer Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 11: Jammu Kashmir has the distinction of gifting new vehicles to ministers every year. The records available with the Early Times reveal that crores out of the tax payers money has been spent during the Omar Abdullah led coalition rule over luxurious cars of Ministers and their family members. In six years of Omar Abdullah's rule, 166 luxurious and undoubtedly expensive cars were purchased by the state government for its ministers. Despite the state already having a sizeable number of vehicles in the state mortar garage department, the ministers preferred new over the old ones- caring little about the hardships being faced by the people. From VIP Fleet to Hyundai Sonata and Ford to Swift Dzire, there are also Innova, Scorpio, Safari, Tavera, SX4, Bolero besides other luxurious vehicles that the ministers purchased out of the state exchequer.
