Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 11: Jammu region has been contributing much more in terms of revenue from Wakf properties than Kashmir. According to documents available with Early Times, authorities in kashmir region recovered paltry Rs 2.95 lac till December, 2017 that too from Tral area of Pulwama district, while not a single penny has been recovered from rest of Kashmir. Meanwhile, in Jammu division, five districts have given Rs 4.6 crores as rent of Wakaf properties to government. "From Jammu district the Wakf administration recovered Rs 4.49 crores, which included Kathua, Rs 4.20 lacs, Udhmapur Rs 1.19 lacs, Rajouri Rs 35.64 lacs and Poonch Rs 1.23 lacs", documents in possession of Early Times reveal. However, the Wakf administration recovered Rs 2.94 lacs as total revenue from Kashmir valley, that too from Tral in district Pulwama. The documents further revealed that the Wakf has 55015 Kanals and 10 Marlas properties and land in Kashmir, while 97071 Kanals and 18 Marlas in Jammu division....
