Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 13: National Conference is trying its best to convince the Centre that it should hold the Assembly elections in the state along with the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. On Wednesday NC vice-president Omar Abdullah made a desperate attempt to seek the attention of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by urging him to hold the LA polls in the state. "Dear @narendramodi Sahib, it is good to see you appealing to famous people to increase voter turnout however at the same time your government has consciously disenfranchised people in J&K by not holding Assembly elections on time," Omar said in a tweet. An analyst while talking to Early Times said that NC is literally "begging for polls." "NC leaders have started believing that if assembly elections are held along with the parliamentary polls it would prove beneficial for the party.
