J&K likely to get Domicile Law by end of this month

Early Times Report jammu, Mar 20: Jammu and Kashmir is all set to get a Domicile Law by end of this month, sources told Early Times on Friday. The Domicile Law will ensure protection of land and jobs for the permanent residents of the erstwhile J&K State. "The Central Government has finalized the draft and announcement is likely to be made soon" sources added. The Central Government, according to the sources, considers the introduction of the new law as a major confidence building exercise. "It will play a very important role in giving impetus to the political activities in J&K," sources added. Meanwhile, as per the reports, the government is all set to issue the orders pertaining to domicile rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. "The officials are examining whether the Government of India needs to notify it or if it can be done by the J&K administration itself," sources said.
