Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 9: The Directorate of Agriculture Kashmir has been showering benefits on the family of a retired bureaucrat and a former Minister for Agriculture by extending undue benefits to the family members of the minister as well. Sources told Early Times that a bureaucrat who retired as Commissioner Secretary Agriculture has been receiving undue benefits despite the fact that he hang up his boots some years back. The bureaucrat is virtually running the show at the department since he enjoys a close rapport with the higher ups at Directorate of Agriculture, Kashmir. "The retired bureaucrat is at present heading a body entrusted with the responsibility of holding competitive examinations in Jammu & Kashmir. A driver of the Department of Agriculture continues to be deputed at the residence of the retired bureaucrat round the clock," said sources.
