Kashmir gets boost in schooling, Jammu to wait

Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 1: While the first anniversary of the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir is round the corner, the allegations of discrimination with Jammu region continue to be on the rise. In the latest, the government has decided to give a boost to education in Kashmir by opening another state-of-the-art Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the valley whereas no such new branch is being opened in Jammu. Official sources said the multi-crore expenditure, Jawahar Navodiya Vidyalaya, would come up at Bandipora. Official documents reveal that the Administrative Council (AC), which recently met in Srinagar approved allotment and transfer of land up to 132 kanals 8 marlas to the School Education Department at village Brar, for construction of Jawahar Navodiya Vidyalaya (JNV).
