ET report vindicated: AAP crumbling in Jammu, party expels Mankotia

Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: Within five months after the party successfully roped in some prominent political figures, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in on a crumbling way. Amid a tussle between two senior leaders, the AAP on Friday terminated two-time MLA from Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia from the primary membership of the party. Mankotia was expelled on the charges of hobnobbing with other political parties and defaming the party. In a letter, the AAP has terminated the membership of Mankotia on charges of indulging in anti-party activities. The Early Times in its report published on September 19 edition mentioned that within five months after joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with much fanfare, a senior politician is seriously thinking to say goodbye to the party due to the indifferent attitude of the leadership. Agencies New Delhi, Sept 23: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's visit to a mosque and his meeting with the head of an organisation of Imams were not a deviation from the outfit's line, its senior leader Indresh Kumar said on Friday. Supreme Court to hear petition challenging abrogation of Art 370 after Dussehra break

Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: The Supreme Court on Friday said that the petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, will be listed after the upcoming Dussehra vacation. The matter was mentioned before Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit by Senior Advocate Prashanto Chandra Sen. Early Times Report Udhampur, Sept 23: At least four persons including three sisters died after drowning in a Nallah at Chetredi village of Tehsil Ramnagar in Udhampur district on Friday, an official said. An official said that at about 1430 hrs, an information was received that four people including three sisters who had gone for grazing and fetching water to their cattle in a Nallah at Chetredi drowned. He said all the bodies have been recovered and shifted to SDH Ramnagar for legal formalities.
