| Obtain PRCs through fraudulent means | | Like father, like sons | | Avinash Azad
JAMMU, Apr 5: In the much publicized fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)/ State Subject case involving proprietor of Kangra Fort Banquet Hall, Barnai more skeletons are tumbling-out of the cupboard, as his three sons obtained PRCs through fraudulent means. Moreover, the Crime Branch Jammu had also proved Kamal Singh's PRC illegal and un-authorized.
Huge irregularities have also been detected in the preparation of PRC's of Kamal Nain Singh's sons, an influential businessman and proprietor of Kangra Fort Banquet Hall. As per PRC's copies of Kamal and his sons available with Early Times, all PRCs of sons and father were prepared same day at Chenani.
"The state subject of Kamal Nain Singh son of Khayali Ram resident of village/ Tehsil Chenani district Udhampur. Anudhan Singh, Vijayishwar Singh and Digvijay Singh trio sons of Kamal Nain Singh were prepared on August 16, 1999 and sealed by the then ACR, Udhampur ML Koul," the PRCs read. It further revealed that Kamal Singh also managed to get prepared PRC of his father. "PRC of Khayali Ram son of Sher Singh was prepared on February 22, 1964," the copy read.
Earlier, on March 22, Crime Branch Jammu had registered the case FIR No 06/2014 under Sections 420,465, 467, 468, 471, 120 B RPC read/with Section 5 (2) PC Act Svt 2006 against
Kamal Nain Singh, son of Khayali Ram of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh and presently at Barnai near here for preparing a fake and fabricated state subject certificate through fraudulent means to acquire huge properties in the State.
Crime Branch during its inquiry also came to know that Kamal Nain Singh never constructed a house or lived in Chenani in district Udhampur as claimed by him. However, entries were made in the Khasra Girdawri register in the year 1994 in his name by Revenue authorities illegally. On the basis of which he managed and procured permanent resident certificate fraudulently and in connivance with the revenue officials from district Udhampur and subsequently acquired huge properties in the State. |
