| Many tender support to Madan; quit BJP, Join Congress | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5 : A large number of members of Ration Dealer Association Jammu who believe in the ideology and pro poor decisions of Congress Party quit BJP and joined Congress under the leadership of Madan Lal Sharma in a function organized by Ration Dealer Association at Toph Sherkhian and extended their full support and cooperation to the coalition candidate for Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency. The members who joined Congress were Mohinder Sharma , Ex. Distt. Genl. Secy., Ravi Mangotra, Jasbir Singh, Jagdish Raj, Vicky, Ajay Chopra , Kuldeep Bajwa, Aman , Monu and many more. In yet another development, in a meeting held Badyal Brahmana many prominent Inhabitants of the area joined Congress. Sharma in his address said that Congress is the only Party which can look after and watch the interest of Jammu Region.
He said during the last two tenures he tried best to raise & resolve the issues pertaining to the Constituency such as long pending issues like one time settlement of Refugees, Jammu-Poonch Railway line, 73rd Amendment to strengthen PRIs, providing LOC like facility to other border areas of the State, Preservation and protection of Heritage, Culture, development of Tourist Places along with road connectivity, one Rank one Pension to defence personnel , Creation of Railway Division at Jammu. He said that UPA Government also passed many historical bills in the Parliament like MGNREGA, Food Security Bill, Lokpal bill, NRHM, Vendors Protection Bill, RGAY, RTI, Land Acquisition Bill, Adhaar, Udaan, Himmayat and many more for the benefit of the people. Maintaining that the efforts were also made by him for equitable development of Jammu region and also tried to make contribution towards peace, prosperity and progress of the people of the area. Sharma said that the Country has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under the UPA Regime in the past 10 years including in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. He cautioned the people against malicious campaign launched against UPA Government . He said that there was a need of strengthen parties like Congress at National Level to encouraging democratic and secular forces. |
