HCI extends support to Modi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Hurriyat Conference India (HCI) has decided to support Narinder Modi's candidature as Prime Minister of India and has appealed the voters to vote for him. In a press statement issued during press conference held at HCI office its Chairman Chetan Sharma urged the people of Jammu region to support Narinder Modi's party candidates in Jammu-Poonch and Udhampur-Doda-Kathua seats to give a stable government in centre which has become the need of the hour. He said that, this time we have to vote for Modi, keeping aside the differences and the bitter experiences that people had with the party men at local level. He added that there is no doubt that state BJP touched the magic double figure in 2008 assembly elections due to Shri Amarnath land row, but the people of Jammu had bitter experiences thereafter from their representatives, which again was a part of conspiracy hatched by ruling National Conference supported by Congress. On the other hand Chetan Sharma urged the people out there in Valley to Vote and Support the Candidates of People's Democratic Party in Anantnag and Baramulla. Reacting on the recent statements of National Conference Leaders Sharma said that, If Modi comes to power Abdullah's will be first person in the world to praise him. He said that I will not comment further as this is a known fact to the world that, "How Kashmiri leaders change their stand towards the Union of India as and when required". |
