BHBF stages protest demonstration, demands 24 hours emergency services | | | Early Times Report BHADERWAH, Apr 5: Bhaderwah Hospital Bachao Front (BHBF) today held a protest demonstration in support of their demand for restoration of emergency services 24 hours in old hospital complex of Bhaderwah in the premises of the old hospital. The protest was held under the chairmanship of BHBF convenor Ranbhir Singh Manhas in which all participants stressed upon the health department to ensure round the clock emergency services at the old hospital in Bhaderwah town as the Jammu and Kashmir High Court directions and deputed four doctors and at least ten paramedical staff to old hospital Bhaderwah to run the smooth functioning of the hospital for 24 hours. It is notable to mention here that the double bench of J&K High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur have passed a direction last month asking Block Medical Officer, Bhaderwah, to ensure round the clock emergency services to be made available in the Old SDH Bhadarwah and today BMO Bhaderwah Dr Kulbhushan informed media that he had ordered doctors and paramedical staff to run the 24 hours medical services there and added Court orders will be implemented in letter and spirit. Terming the interim directions of the High Court as a landmark decision, the local people of Bhaderwah have appreciated the efforts of Bhaderwah Hospital Bachao Front who filed PIL and seek justice through peaceful means and claimed that it will provide great relief to the patients of Bhadarwah who had been suffering after the SDH was shifted to a far away place from the town and has also extended their support to BHBF convener Ranbhir Singh Manhas and his team for seeking Medical college at Bhaderwah. |
