15 candidates in fray for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat | Nomination papers of an independent candidate rejected | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 10: The nomination papers of 15 out of 16 candidates in Srinagar Anantnag Parliamentary constituency were found correct after these papers were put to scrutiny by the concerned returning officer here on Thursday. According to Farooq Ahmad Shah, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and the returning Officer for the Srinagar-Budgam Lok Sabah constituency after scrutiny, the nomination papers of one independent candidate Nisar Ahmad Ahangar were rejected for technical reasons. "Now there are only 15 candidates in fray from Srinagar parliamentary constituency sofar. We will come to know about the final list of candidates on the last date of withdrawal of nomination papers that is April 12," Shah told. The Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency is going for polls on April 30. |
