4/11/2014 12:03:24 AM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 10: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Muzaffar Husain Baigh today said that National Conference Parliament members including Dr Farooq Abdullah never portrayed the real situation of Kashmir in Indian Parliament.
Baigh said that Kashmiri's are not 'thieves and terrorists' as have been portrayed by Farooq Abdullah in India but they are responsible citizens having their unique social, political and cultural history.
He said the people of Kashmir have an opportunity to send the right representatives to the parliament to send those representatives in Parliament who could apprise Indian nation about the real prevailing situation of Kashmir. "The boat of NC is sinking and it is going to be wiped out from the political map of Jammu and Kashmir. Situation is changing rapidly and most likely there will a change in the guard at Central and State level. There will be a new Prime Minister and new Chief Minister and this development will create an opportunity for the new representatives to present true picture of Kashmir," he said.
Baigh said that Farooq Abdullah has misled people of India about Kashmir situation. "He sometimes describes Kashmiri's as thieves and sometimes terrorists and he can go to any extent for sake of his benefits," he said adding that provocative statements made by National Conference is not going to help them in any way during the elections. He said that the role of NC in Jammu and Kashmir is diminishing day by day. "This party instead of empowering the people of the State, has indulged in corruption and nepotism over the years. This party can't befool people of Kashmir anymore now by its hollow slogans," he said adding that if voted to power PDP members will ensure the voice of the people of the State is heard at the highest forum of the country.
