Ensure safety to Pak firing affected families: Bhalla | | | Jammu, Aug 23: Expressing concerns and sympathies with the people who are affected by firing from across the border during ceasefire violations by Pakistan, Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla said Government is making all out efforts to ensure their safety and security of the life and property of the border town. He also directed the district administration to ensure all basic amenities to the affected families. Raman Bhalla today visited Abdulian, Korotana, Trewa, Jabowal and Arnia villages of R. S Pura tehsil and assessed losses caused due to ceasefire violation by Pakistan in R S Pura town in yesterday overnight firing. He was accompanied with District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ajeet Kumar Sahu, senior officers of Border Security Force and civil and police administration. During his visit Bhalla expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family whose two family members died and five members were injured due to ceasefire violation by Pakistan on International Border in R S Pura during yesterday overnight firing. He also called upon the family members that the people of entire State share their grief. Meanwhile the minister also directed the PDD officers to provide regular power in the border hamlets of R S Pura. He asked for immediately repair of damaged transformers and other allied infrastructure of PDD due to overnight ceasefire violation by Pakistan. |
