Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Eying Mission 44+ in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state, the emissaries of BJP are busy in roping in nvarious political organisations and individual leaders in Kashmir Valley to either form a truck with the party or join it completely to keep three main political parties including National Conference (NC), Congress and Peoples Democratic (PDP) out of power and rid the State of dynastic rule.
According to sources, the emissaries of BJP are busy in the valley to hold hectic parleys with all such political organisations having faith in democratic system and opposed to the policies and programmes of the three main parties of the State. Efforts are being made to persuade them to either join BJP or form a United Front to form the next government in the State. Sources said that these emissaries have been given full authority in taking on spot decisions by BJP National leadership and BJP national president's special aids are closely in touch with them and seek daily feedback and information from them. Sources said these emissaries of Party have met various political groups and individual leaders and held detailed discussions with them in the formation of a United Front and a post poll alliance with BJP in the State to form the next Government. Sources said among the various groups which are in constant touch with BJP include leaders of Peoples Conference (PC), some independent MLAs, leaders of PDF and other small political groups. However, the leaders of PC who have shown willingness in joining the Front which has already been given a practical shape has also proposed to name its leader Sajjad Gani Lone as Chief Ministerial candidate. However, emissaries of BJP have not accepted this formula saying that a decision in this regard will be premature, sources added.
Sources said BJP will not field its candidates in those constituencies in the valley where from the members of the Front will contest the elections. The emissaries are likely to meet the PDF leader Ghulam Hassan Mir, MLA Khan Sahib, Hakim Mohammed Yasin, MLA Langate and former Minister and angry PDP leader Syed Bashir to rope them to make Party's Mission 44+ a success.
