Jammu, Sept 30: District Police Samba today conducted a mock drill of curfew plan which was already drafted to tackle law and order situations, in all the sub-divisions of district Samba. According to press release, manpower from Police Stations, Police Posts, District Police Lines Samba as well as 17th Bn. of Armed Police fully equipped with riot control equipments were deployed at all the important points including chowks, vital installations, religious places, minority pockets and other important interceptions on National Highway with a view to keep Police personnel well aware about their role during enforcement of Curfew to be ordered by District Administration in time of exigency. During the course of said mock drill which was held in the morning today, all the entry points leading towards the main markets of Ghagwal, Samba, Vijaypur, Ramgarh, Purmandal and Bari-Brahmna were plugged and reaction time of the Police was observed. |
