| Bangla national slips from police custody, cop suspended | | | Jammu, Nov 17: A police cop was placed under suspension for dereliction of duties, following a Bangladesh national escaped from police custody here today.
As per police sources, the Bangladesh national identified namely as Salimo Din managed to give slip to police during his police custody at Trikuta Nagar Police.' "Salim was taken to police custody after he has completed his 2 years sentence for his illegal immigration while the cops were preparing documents for his repatriation, he escaped, sources said. SDPO (East) RafiqManhas when contacted confirming the incident said that the one Cop (Munshi) namely as Rafiq presently posted at the said police station has been placed under suspension. Meanwhile, he added that massive manhunt has been launched to re-arrest the Bangla national. |
