BJP stands for Kishtwar’s communal harmony, development : Dr Jitendra | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 17 : As a part of a hectic election campaign, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS in PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today held a series of public meetings in far-flung and poorly accessible areas of Marwah, Warwan, Nagsani and Dachhan in the Kishtwar Assembly Constituency. Referring to Kishtwar’s traditional composite culture, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) is the only political party which is committed to protect Kishtwar’s communal harmony and , at the same time, ensure “development without discrimination”. People of Kishtwar have now realized that while other political parties thrive by creating communal tension, this is not the case with BJP,he added. Dr. Jitendra Singh said that in the brief tenure of six months as Member of Parliament, he has succeeded in initiating a number of long pending projects in this region for improving the road connectivity and ensuring better electricity and water facility. He is not on a position to elaborate on this because of the Model Code of Conduct, but the people here are very well aware of it and the positive results will become visible in the next few months, he added. Measures to improve the employment avenues for youth and ensure jobs for local youth in the local projects is already being taken care of, he added. With the taking over of NarendraModi at the Centre at Prime Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, a golden era of development has begun and the most fortunate beneficiary of this is the remote area of Kishtwar, because the Prime Minister has a special concern for such backward areas which have been victims of the past 60 years of neglect. The best evidence of this, he added, is available from the fact that it is specially Kishtwar that the Prime Minister has decided to choose as his venue for election rally on November 22. He appealed to people from entire region to come together to the Kishtwar main ground for “Margdarshan” from NarendraModi, who is being world-wide acknowledged today as the tallest leader of contemporary India. It was the mandate from Kishtwar, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, which enabled him to reach the LokSabha and then he was conferred with his present status. In the same vein, he said it will be the mandate from Kishtwar which will enable its popular local activist, Sunil Sharma, to reach Jammu & Kashmir State Assembly and achieve the status which has never before been achieved by any son of the soil from here. |
